Access Control in Fremont by Tri-City Locksmith
1Call. Your exact job is priced from the published range.
2Your tech texts a name and photo before arriving.
3Work done, invoice matches the number from the call.

Access control replaces keys with credentials: fobs, cards, keypads or phones that open doors on a schedule you set. Tri-City Locksmith installs it for offices in the Ardenwood business parks, gyms and clinics near Washington Hospital, HOA gates and mailrooms in Warm Springs, and distribution sites near NewPark Mall in Newark. Systems range from a single keypad on a back door to networked readers across a building with audit trails.

The visit begins with a count of doors, a look at each door's hardware and power, and a conversation about who needs access when. The tech recommends electric strikes or maglocks per door, a controller sized for your door count, and a credential type that matches your staff. Wiring, readers, request-to-exit sensors and the software setup are done together, and you leave with credentials programmed and a way to add or remove people yourself.

Access control is quoted per project because the door count, controller and credential choice drive the price. The written quote lists each door, the hardware on it, the controller, credentials and labor separately. The $89 site survey fee is credited against the job. Once you approve the quote, it stays put; anything discovered later, such as an old door needing new prep, is priced and approved before the work continues.

Locked out of our townhome at 9:40pm with the baby asleep inside. Quoted $144 on the call, which was the $109 lockout plus the evening $35, and that is what the card was charged. Got a text with the tech's name and a photo, he showed up in about 30 minutes and had the deadbolt open in five. No drama, no upsell.

FAQ

Access Control: quick answers

Can access control run on the locks already on my doors?+

Sometimes. Many commercial doors accept an electric strike behind the existing latch so the lock stays. Glass storefront doors usually need a maglock. Doors with no power nearby cost more to wire, and the tech lists that in the quote per door.

Will my staff still need a key?+

Keep a mechanical override on at least one door for power failures and emergencies. Everyone else uses a fob, card, code or phone. When someone leaves, their credential is deleted in seconds, which is the main reason businesses switch.

Do you handle HOA pedestrian gates in Warm Springs?+

Yes. Gate controllers, keypads and fob readers on pedestrian gates and mailrooms are a regular install. The HOA gets a management login to add residents. Vehicle gates with motors are quoted separately because they need the gate operator's own controller.
